Children lineup to be confirmed
21 August 2026

Moving into adulthood isn’t just about age or independence. It is about taking personal responsibility for your faith, your calling and your role in the body of Christ.

The importance of confirmation
In the New Apostolic Church confirmation class isn’t just a tradition. It is the structured step where children consciously take ownership of the baptismal covenant made for them by their parent/guardian. Below are reasons why parents make it a priority:

  • It’s the step to personal “Yes” to God
  • It gives the children a solid grounding in doctrine
  • It prepares them for Holy Communion
  • It builds identity and belonging
  • It develops responsibility and maturity
  • It equips them for their outside church
  • It is part of the personal care mandate

From received faith to personal faith
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Apostle Wreh conducted a Divine Service at the Monrovia Central Congregation. He outlined and explained the topic: ‘Taking Responsibility for your calling through actions. He explained that our personal responsibilities includes: praying and reading the Bible for yourself, Seeking God in decisions, not just following others and asking questions and learning why we believe what we believe. He made reference from PSALM 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” He further explained several points in preparing ourselves for the return of Jesus Christ.

“Confirmation – giving your yes”
At Confirmation, you personally say “Yes” to the covenant made at baptism by your parents. The Divine Service was concluded with the act of Confirmation. Sixteen (16) young brothers and sisters were confirmed.
